My Story
A Little Bit About Me
As a child, I was homeschooled and always had a fascination with history. As part of my education, my Mother would take us to historical places, for a hands-on learning experience. On these trips, I always loved watching the blacksmiths. I was fascinated watching them turn metal into tools and pieces of art.
Later in life, as a young man, I joined the Marines and proudly served my country, meeting life-long friends and seeing the world along the way.
After I got out of the Marines in 2009 I did a lot of jobs from carpentry to sales. Currently, I work in natural gas, but despite the professional experiences and growth, I never found anything I fell in love with.
That all changed one Christmas. I was given the gift of a forging class and this kicked off a whole new chapter in my life. I was inspired and found a new obsession. I love learning from other smiths and use every opportunity to learn and apply every new technique I learn about.
Having found this new inspiration and love of this craft, I plan to forge ahead, with the goal of honing my craft and continuing on this creative journey.
Thank you for your support in my journey.
